If you are promoting more than one product simply set up separate campaigns for each product. The initial e-mail should introduce yourself, thank them for signing up or buying, give a detailed explanation of how to use what they have purchased, and offer a special gift that aids them even further. Even though it is an autoresponder series, because you have used their name and customized the message, it is just like you are talking only to them. Follow-up e-mails every day for a week that slowly introduce new information or features is very powerful and builds trust. After that e-mail them on a regular cycle with related offers and information, ensuring that the content is useful and will help them. 2. If you have their street address or phone number, send a postcard or give them a brief phone call. Provide contact details and a way that they can contact you directly. If you sell a huge amount of product at once this may not be practical, so outsource it to a call center that offers training. This will provide you with an additional revenue stream, and build trust because all of your customers receive that all important phone call, on top of the e-mail autoresponder series that they all get as well. 3. Set up a training or membership website with the tools your customers need to take full advantage of the product or service in which they invested. Make sure to have a sign-up for your newsletter (autoresponder series) in this area just in case they did not use a valid e-mail when they purchased, and to catch any people who run across the site by accident. These techniques are meant to be used together, all three, at the same time. This will ensure that all bases are covered. You will teach them what they bought, how to use it, what its benefits are, and how they can profit from it By doing these things you will have very happy customers that will continue to listen to what you have to say, and who will help you by introducing other individuals they know who can use what you are offering. The secret to happy customers, essentially, is to treat them as you would wish to be treated. These techniques will help you do just that. ◄
