When Wooing Prospects, Be Interested Not Interesting

by Dave Cleinman

You found one! Someone who is showing definite interest in your product or service. You know also, that since you found one, doing what you did to find that prospect again will get you more. Now you need to adjust to working with prospects, the thing that many marketers fear the most, and you are not sure how to proceed. Here are Five tips and methods you can use to win over prospects and establish a positive working relationship from the beginning. Once you master these, they will become second nature because they are based on how most of us like to be treated.

1. Schmoozing Works! Get to know them, find ways to genuinely compliment them, or show approval of what they are doing. Tie that into what you are doing by asking questions that helps them see strong connections. “I see you like to…. Our system helps our clients do just that. Can you see the benefits I’m talking about? Could that be useful to you? This is not like a typical approach, which is sales presentation combined with emotional pressure (a sure way to bomb with a prospect). This entices them to make a decision based on what they need.

2. Don’t be afraid to ask them about their family. About their work. About their dreams and goals. A prospect who becomes a team-mate also becomes a friend. Begin your relationship with the same mindset. Friend first may overcome the need to woo a prospect. They may simply follow you because they know, like, and trust you.

3. Be honest at all times, but never answer personal questions. Share your satisfaction of your opportunity or product, but never discuss income. Instead, say something like: “I really love what I am doing, and think it’s a great benefit to others. You mentioned (insert what they mentioned here and tie it in.) that you were looking for (insert their desires). I think our system will be perfect for you. Let me show you more.” Don’t ask, tell. Just make sure your communication is still all about what they want.

4. Never be afraid to make them feel a bit uncomfortable about any situation that they are complaining about if you are sure your opportunity or product can help them. Sympathize with their pain, press their discomfort, get details. Then systematically demonstrate how what you are doing is the answer to their woes. Without really communicating with a prospect you could never use this angle. It is the most powerful sales method there is, just about, so be cautious, honest, and sympathetic, and use it wisely.

5. If you can possibly manage this, you have it made: Some prospects will sell themselves without you having to do anything at all. You ask them a few key questions and they will unload a barrage of words and emotions that you can leverage very easily into a “let me help you” situation. If you can match their desires with what you are offering, or solve their problem, you can immediately tell them that and they will join you. Be on the lookout for this and take full advantage of it.

No matter how you associate with a prospect, it is vital that you are truly matching their wants and desires with your offer. Never sell someone something they don’t need or want. This backfires in the end and ruins reputations. Rather, match their needs and wants with what you have in an honest and positive manner. Does this mean you will have to turn some prospects away? Yes. On the bright side, the ones who stick around will become repeat customers and great representatives.◄

If You Want To Succeed In MLM, The 1st Rule Is: NEVER Give Up

By : Wilfrid Khalsa

The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary - Vince Lombardi

It's hard to beat a person who will never give up. - Babe Ruth

If the going is easy, beware, you may be headed downhill - Anonymous

If you're going through hell, keep going. - Winston Churchill

The numbers in network marketing are nightmarish.

- 97% of all in MLM go bust at their business, period.
- The typical networker sponsors only 2.2 reps in their entire career which is on average, 93 days.
- 90% of all network marketers earn under $10/week.

It's honestly unfortunate and I've seen it so many times. The reality is that most network marketers quit before they ever had a chance.

There are many reasons why people quit. A large number never had adequate training. Many run out of money and have to focus on other things. That happened to me and at one point I had to put aside my networking business for four years.

Many just do not have a business mentality. After all you can join an MLM company as a distributor for a couple of hundred dollars or sometimes less. It is such an inexpensive business to start that a lot of well intentioned but utterly clueless people end up joining. Let's just say that I've seen a lot of disorganized flakes masquerading that they are operating a business.

Many have been told that you can be successful at MLM and you don't have to Exert yourself. To tell you the truth i don't know anybody who has made it at network marketing who doesn't have more than a few bruises on their butt to show for it.

Far, far too many join an MLM company and it's as though they have dollar signs in their eyes. They've seen the potential of residual income. They like it. They crave it. NOW. And YOU are the next on their list. When they feast their eyes on you all they see is their next check. Quick, let me out of here! Needless to say they don't make it. That's not how you build a people business.

For most, network marketing is in reality a get rich slow venture. Put away all your rich quick fantasies. Slow and steady is the name of the game and it really does win the race so go for it and, never give up.

Oh yes, you hear of whiz kids on the internet who've made a million dollars in their first year and they certainly do exist. But remember, these are very exceptional people. And you just might be the next one.

One of my mentors is a man named Paul Hutchings. Paul puts it beautifully when he says: "Success may be sexy but the road there is anything but. it takes vision, persistence, perseverance and unstoppable determination. You may say you're willing to do what it takes. are you REALLY?"

PS. Never give up!
