Faith:  It’s Amazing Ability to Empower Us

by Dave Cleinman

Faith is often mixed up with religion.  In its true and best form, however, it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with belief in ourselves.  Faith in our ability to take the right action, or faith that we can correct ourselves when we err, or faith that we will succeed in what we strive to accomplish have nothing to do with religion whatsoever yet are every bit as valuable to us as a belief in a higher power.  In a related sense, a belief in a higher power that inspires us to achieve is every bit as valid.  Here are some examples of faith and belief that will empower the willing to achieve their very best.

1.  Know what you desire and want to accomplish:  Write down your desires.  Be specific.  Money amounts (don’t think about being “realistic”) should be written down as precisely as possible.  Not, “I want a lot of money.”  More like: “I will earn one million dollars by this date next year.”  “I will be debt-free.”  “I will send my kids to college and pay for it with joy.”  “I will take care of my family.”  “I will buy that home with the indoor pool.”  The more specific and tangible your desires, the more easily you can visualize them.  Seeing them as real and whole puts them immediately within your grasp.   Believe that you will have it!

2.  Establish a plan for achieving your desires:  Even if you are not familiar with ways to make large amounts of money, many people are.  Research what they have done and follow their steps.  No need to reinvent the wheel.  Find a millionaire that you admire and follow in their steps.  First and foremost, however, is your commitment to your belief that you can succeed.  Even if you start out thinking that you cannot, train yourself to believe that You Will!  Mental readjustment is all that is needed here.  Your subconscious will follow positive commands just as easily as nagging doubts.

3.  Begin the implementation of the plan even if you’re not ready:  Faith that you will succeed combined with action will propel you forward.  “Just do SOMETHING.”  Is good advice.  Many people spend their lives getting ready.  Once action is being taken, however, forward momentum becomes a reality that creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.

4.  Improve the plan as you go:  Now that you are moving, you can tweak and improve your plan.  This is much easier than trying to formulate the perfect plan before starting.  An example of this are some of the millionaire video marketers on the internet.  They will tell you that they hated their first twenty videos.  And still they stuck with it, changing what they didn’t like, until they were comfortable and doing them without even thinking twice.  Action got them going.  Improving made them wealthy.

5.  Ignore setbacks.  Keep on keeping on!  Every businessperson has setbacks, failures, some are even catastrophic.  And still they keep going.  They analyze what went wrong, make changes, and keep on. Faith that they will succeed leads them to success.  The alternative is to quit, which automatically destroys any possibility of success, anyway.

6.  Celebrate victories!  This is so key to training your mind that your faith was justified.  Even the tiniest victories should be celebrated.  The only way to retrain your mind is to acknowledge the positives that come from the process.  Psychology calls this reward.  And it is.  Rewarding yourself for taking positive action is the surest way to take more of it.

7.  Increase the activity of what is working.  Now that you have been at the process for a while, and your activity is producing results, do more of what is working, and less of what is not.  Results will increase, profits will build, and your efforts will be perpetually rewarded.

Faith is the glue that binds dreams to plans and to actions.  A person who believes that they will succeed is a person who will find a way to make it happen.  The difference between this person and the person who  struggles every day is one simple thing.  Faith.  Or belief in the possibility of success.  Everyone has the ability to exercise control over the way we process information.  The people who let it control them exercise no control over their mental input.  Those who use their minds to produce the results they want, on the other hand, are exercising complete control and directing it on their behalf.  That is the essence of faith.  It is belief turned into action.

Revise Your Mindset - Alter Your Life For Success

by Maddie Torres

If you are trying to alter your life for the better it usually starts on the inside with your mindset. If you've ever tried to make self-improvements, you know how challenging it could be. Whether it be finances, health, mentality, spirituality, or relationships, there could be unseen obstacles that are keeping you from the success you seek. That's because altering your life usually starts from within; your mindset.

It's all about awareness. If you were like me, you've tried to make those changes, got so far, then you hit a wall - nothing more. It took me years to realize that I had to start from the inside; I had to change my mindset.

Our mindset becomes programmed from the very beginning. This is due to our environment, who and what surrounded us, what we heard, saw, and experienced. Depending on the degree of these conditioned beliefs, the difficulty on creating change can vary.

Many of us aren't aware of the blueprint that befalls us. It's how we grew up, what our parents or caregivers said or did, what our culture or religion dictate, or what our experiences were as children. Some things are harmless; like how we bake chicken or what our views are on television brands.

But as we become adults, others can be harmful to our life or success; like how our parents dealt with money or if we grew up in an abusive home. These ideals were unknowingly instilled in us that we need to revise in our mindset. These are the conditioned self-limiting beliefs that we must first be aware of.

How do we recognize them? Let's take finances for example. If you're trying to start a business or simply trying to make more money, write down how your parents dealt with money. What did they say or feel about money or rich people? Did they say that money and rich people were evil? Did they spend money carelessly? Did one parent take care of the finances while the other avoided it? Did they say starting a business or making money was hard or useless? When you had an idea, did they shoot you down telling you it won't work? Or tell you how worthless you and your ideas were?

Write down anything that you witnessed growing up in the area that you are trying to improve. Which ones do you think are keeping you from success, from the life you want? Which ones are creating these self-limiting blocks in your system?

Become aware of the fact that these are conditioned beliefs that had absolutely nothing to do with you. These were someone else's views or it happened when you were an innocent child. You have nothing to do with it any longer. Free yourself from these self-limiting beliefs. It doesn't represent who you are today.

Whatever area in your life you're trying to improve - finances, relationships, mentality, or whatever it is - find out what it is that is holding you back. Write down what it was like growing up. Search deep to find any self-limiting beliefs. Acknowledge that these beliefs do not represent who you are then free yourself from them; let them go so you could move forward to finding the life and success you seek.

"Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer." - Denis Waitley

To your success!
